Jonnie Irwin, the host of A Place in the Sun, has been spending time with his family on the seashore while battling terminal cancer.
The 49-year-old was in Beadnell, Northumberland, with his wife Jessica Holmes and their boys Rex, four, and Rafa and Cormac, two.
Last November, the 49-year-old stated that his disease had progressed to his brain after being diagnosed with lung cancer in April 2020.
In June of this year, Jonnie said that he hadn’t told his children about his health after being given months to live because he feared it would ‘confuse’ them.
Jonnie’s most recent post included photos of himself eating ice cream, his children playing on the sand, and his wife and kid paddle boarding while enjoying the August weather.
He captioned the Instagram post: ‘Just grabbed a few days up the coast. Rain or shine Beadnell always impresses. #bayistheway.’

Jonnie’s fans swamped the remark with compliments on how gorgeous his family is and wishing them a safe trip.
‘Looking fabulous guys! 😍❤️,’ one social media used remarked, while another commented: ‘Thank you for sharing Jonnie …. Your boys are so much fun …. So so cute x x x.’
A third added: ‘It’s the best coastline there is. So lovely to see you all enjoying it x.’
Despite being warned that he may only have months to live and lately admitting that he felt ‘a lot weaker,’ Jonnie has been living life to the fullest, renovating his home and making the most of the time he has left with his young family.
He recently took a road trip with Jessica and his boys, but he joked that it wasn’t a relaxing ride.
Jonnie wrote on Instagram: ‘5 hours on and off in car with the boys. Each one with a tablet/screen without headphones! Acoustic hell! #roadtrip’.
Since making his cancer public, the Channel 4 actor has kept fans updated, been commended by professionals and charities for discussing his diagnosis and palliative care, and has received an outpouring of support.
