Katie Price has introduced her new pet, a hairless sphinx cat, despite a long-standing demand to prevent her from possessing animals.
Katie was promoting an airfryer on TikTok for the first time since her panto performance when the camera zoomed out to reveal a cat climbing on her shoulder.
The newly single former beauty model posed with the cat on her shoulder but did not mention the sudden advent of another animal in her life.
For many years, there has been opposition to her possessing any pets at all, as dozens have perished under her care, including countless dogs.
In addition to the seven pets that have perished, she has lost a horse to traffic and a melancholy chameleon named Marvin to a broken heart.
Over 36,000 people have joined the Change petition, which labelled Pricey as ‘irresponsible’ when her dog died in 2020.
In November, the I’m A Celebrity star adopted a black Labrador that a friend was unable to care for, bringing her pet collection to seven animals.
At the time, she appeared to address the rising issue over her pet ownership, saying, ‘What difference is another one?’
The celebrity owns two dogs: Chihuahua Captain and a Pomeranian/Chihuahua cross breed Batman. She previously denied selling them online.
Katie also has two Chihuahuas, Buddy and Colin, and a French Bulldog named Precious.
Katie adopted Tank, a German Shephard, in August following the loss of her ‘protector’ Blade, who was hit by a car, which she described as ‘devastating’.
The Big Brother star expressed her grief at Blade’s death, which occurred just seven months after another dog, Sharon, died.
Her house overlooks the A24, therefore several animals have escaped and run directly onto a busy road, including Alsatian Sparkle, who was struck in February 2020.
This echoed the loss of her dog, Queenie, who was killed by passing automobiles on the same route in 2018.
However, the petition was launched in 2020, not after Sparkle’s death, but following a horrific event in which French Bulldog puppy Rolo suffocated to death after being stuck in an electric recliner.
Along with the fatalities, Katie was chastised for appearing to smack Tank while on a TikTok live during the first month of ownership, as he snarled and refused to settle.
Animal charity Peta previously said: ‘Short of shooting a puppy in the head on TikTok, there is almost nothing more Katie Price could do to cement the fact that she is an unfit dog guardian and an irresponsible person.’
