SAS: Who Dares Wins are planning to put the recruits through the wringer in the upcoming season.
Golden trio Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox, Rudy Reyes will return for the eight series, while Special Forces Operator Chris Oliver will also be joining the fold.
The Channel 4 survival series follows 20 contestants tackling gruelling challenges.
And this year is no different, as the stars will be testing their physical and mental strength in North Vietnam.
However, according to reports, bosses have decided to switch things up by choosing a location ‘very, very cold.’
‘Just being able to exist in the sub-zero temperatures will be hard enough — never mind taking on the brutal tasks like ice-water plunges, snow treks and endurance challenges,’ an insider shared.
However, The Sun claims that several locations are on the table and nothing is yet ‘set in stone.’
The celebrity spin-off of SAS recently faced a disaster as The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran, former footballer Jermaine Pennant and Paralympic cyclist Jon-Allan Butterworth had to pull out of the show after they fainted while filming in Thailand.
Meanwhile, former Towie star James Argent contracted trench foot and jungle rot, a serious condition that results from your feet being wet for too long.
‘They are celebrities, not soldier,’ an insider told The Sun. ‘They aren’t used to the hot, harsh conditions and being pushed to their limits.
‘James’s issues with his feet were awful too. He was in agony as the infection took hold because of the wet boots and he could suffer for months now.’
While the official line-up for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins 2023 has yet to be confirmed, it’s been reported that former Health Secretary Matt Hancock will star alongside the likes of singer Gareth Gates and Love Island star Montana Brown.
SAS: Who Dares Wins will return to Channel 4 in January 2023.
